Barone appeared in the fourth-season Seinfeld Episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham an executive chef, who was looking for Elaine Benes shoes. Barone was one of the cast members of Carol & Company, starring alongside Carol Burnett in the early 90s. Barone was her ex-wife, Carol Willick Ross Geller in the initial Friends appearance.
